The Kansas City Royals announced several roster moves this morning prior to their 1:05 p.m. game with the Cleveland Indians. The club has reassigned catcher Parker Morin and infielders Orlando Calixte and Dusty Coleman to minor league camp and has also optioned left-handed pitchers Scott Alexander and Brian Flynn to Triple-A Omaha. Additionally, the Royals have granted right-handed pitcher Ross Ohlendorf release from his minor league contract.
Following today’s transactions, the Royals have 37 players in Major League camp, along with left-handed pitchers Jason Vargas and Mike Minor, who are both on the 60-day D.L. Of the 37 remaining players, nine of them are non-roster invitees.
