The Highway Patrol reports a Princeton man sustained moderate injuries when the pickup truck he drove ran off the road east of Mercer Wednesday morning.

Twenty-seven-year-old Clayton Bertrand traveled east on Route M when the pickup traveled off the south side of the road, returned to the road, skidded across the center line, traveled off the north side of the road, and overturned one time. The vehicle came to a rest on its wheels on the north side of the road and was totaled.

Emergency medical services transported Bertrand to the Harrison County Community Hospital of Bethany.

The Patrol reports Bertrand did not wear a seatbelt at the time of the accident. The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office and EMS First Responders assisted at the scene.
