Musical rehearsals begin next month as the Grand River Valley Choir and Orchestra begins preparing for the upcoming Christmas Concert in Trenton scheduled Saturday, December 9th.
Rehearsals will begin Tuesday, October 10th for both the choir and orchestra. The orchestra will begin practice at 6:30 pm and end by 8:30 pm. The choir begins practice at 7:00 pm and ends by 8:30 pm.
Registration for both the choir and orchestra will be one-half hour before practice begins. Both groups will meet at Hodge Presbyterian Church in Trenton.
There is a $10 participation fee to help with the rental of music.
Organizers say most of the orchestra instrumentation has been filled with the exception of string instruments. In demand are violins, violas, and cellos. They also are asking for more vocalists to enhance the musical performance. From bass to soprano, those who enjoy singing and adding music to the holiday season are invited to participate.
