Frank was born on November 21, 1934, in Cainsville, MO, to Claude Wiley and Bernice May (Hart) Cain.

On July 28, 1957, he married Thelma Coleen Bowen. To this union, four daughters and one son were born. Frank and Coleen later divorced.

He lived most of his life in rural Pleasant Valley near Cainsville, MO, and later moved to Eagleville, MO, where he lived for 16 years. He then spent his final five years at his daughter Kimberly’s home in Gilman City, MO.

He spent the early years of his life working for farmers around the Cainsville and Princeton area. In 1974, he went to work for Kent Feeds, hauling feed to farmers; then, in 1976, he went to work for Central Paving Construction in Iowa, where he drove a semi and ran heavy equipment. In 1979, his son Rocky went to work with him doing construction, and in 1984, his daughter Sandra also joined them. He worked there until 1990, then transferred to Koss Construction in Kansas, and later he worked for Ideker Inc. until he retired in 2002.

He enjoyed coyote hunting with his favorite dogs Speed, Spud, Crystal, Dixie, and Red Head. Frank spent every weekend and any time he could running the dogs. He would call the kids and say, “Let’s go, the dogs are ready.” Frank was also a deer hunter in his early years. He had a small farm where he raised cows, goats, peacocks, and chickens. He also raised Toy Fox Terriers, and his favorite terrier was Cricket.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren whenever he was not working. He would take them to auctions with him and taught them how to bid, always getting what he bid on. Later in life, he enjoyed watching WWE wrestling on TV and could name every wrestler. Westerns were also among his favorite shows.

On November 22, 2023, he accepted Christ as his Savior and was ready to meet Him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; three sisters; and one great-granddaughter, Karli Jo Holcomb.
