City of Trenton and TMU seeking bids for asbestos removal, engine replacement

The City of Trenton is seeking sealed bids for asbestos abatement and removal at six properties in the city’s demolition program this fiscal year.

Questions, including the property locations, can be made to Code Enforcement Officer Donnie Vandevender at Trenton City Hall.

Sealed bids are to be marked “2016-2017 Demolition Project Asbestos Abatement” and submitted to City Clerk Cindy Simpson’s office at city hall by the afternoon of January 18 at 3 o’clock.

Trenton Municipal Utilities is seeking bids to replace an engine for a Ford F250 quad cab pickup truck.

Bids are to include pricing for installation of a new or remanufactured 5.4L  motor, the price for new OEM belts and radiator hoses as a separate line item, the old engine removal, and estimated timeline for completion of the project. Bids also are to include a minimum three-year 100,000-mile warranty for material and labor.

Bid specifications can be obtained by contacting TMU electric distribution supervisor Mark Newton.

Bids are due at Trenton City Hall by the morning of December 15th at 10 o’clock.
