Two Trenton brothers arrested on weapons charge after Saturday incident

As a result of a Trenton Police investigation into a Saturday incident, two brothers are in custody on multiple charges.

Arrested were 23-year-old Tyler Clayton Ward and 19-year-old Tanner Scott Ward, both of Trenton.

Tyler Ward has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon by exhibiting it in an alleged dangerous or threatening manner while in the presence of one or more persons. He’s also charged with armed criminal action, resisting arrest by allegedly fleeing from a police officer; and tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution. In the last charge, Tyler Ward is accused of wiping a 22 caliber pistol with alcohol and slamming it to a concrete floor in an alleged effort to impair a police investigation.

Bond is set at $50,000 cash.

Tanner Ward faces charges of unlawful use of a weapon, identified as a small block model 1900 revolver. He’s accused of exhibiting it in an alleged dangerous or threatening manner in the presence of one or more persons. Ward also was charged with armed criminal action. His bond is $35,000 cash.

Both of the Wards are to appear November 22nd in the associate circuit court of Grundy County.
