Special Prosecutor appointed in the case of woman who faces 42 felonies

A special prosecuting attorney has been appointed in a case involving a woman from Albany accused of subjecting an 11-year-old girl to nearly a year of abuse.

Online court information shows Jennifer Reed’s motion to disqualify the Gentry County Prosecuting Attorney was granted with David Baird appointed as the special prosecuting attorney. The case was certified to Division One of Gentry County Circuit Court.

Reed faces 42 felonies, including kidnapping, child endangerment, domestic assault, and armed criminal action. Co-defendant Raymond Burks faces 22 felonies, including kidnapping, child endangerment, and domestic assault.

Court information shows he is scheduled for a case review in the Associate Division of Gentry County Circuit Court December 5th.
