The prosecuting attorney for Daviess County has filed amended charges against a Lock Springs man accused in the death last November 12 of another resident of Lock Springs.

A previously-filed second-degree murder charge facing 25-year-old Aaron Thomas Tucker was reduced on Monday to a charge of involuntary manslaughter. Tucker then waived a preliminary hearing and had the new charge bound over to Division One of Daviess County Circuit Court.

Authorities have reported Michael Chad Estabrook died after a closed fist struck him in the jaw.

Tucker is to appear this morning for an arraignment at the courthouse in Gallatin. A request for a reduction in bond was accepted by the court. Bond was reset at $10,000 cash only – with a ten percent deposit allowed.

While he was remanded to the custody of the sheriff’s department, Tucker was advised to have no contact with the victim’s family and to not reside in Lock Springs.
