Amish brothers accused of sex crimes against minors in Daviess County

Two brothers formerly of Hamilton have been charged in Daviess County with multiple sex-related crimes.

Enos Ray Yoder of Bloomfield, Iowa faces eight felonies: first-degree statutory rape—sexual intercourse with a person less than 14 years old, second-degree rape, first-degree child molestation, and second-degree sodomy as well as two counts each of incest and sexual misconduct involving a child under 15—first offense.

Alfred Yoder of Albia, Iowa has been charged with seven felonies: first-degree statutory rape or attempted statutory rape of a person less than 14 years of age, third-degree child molestation, second-degree rape, and two counts each of sexual misconduct involving a child under 15—first offense and incest.

Bond was set at $85,000 cash only on each individual, and they are not to have contact with any minor. Probable cause statements say the incidents involving Enos Yoder occurred from 2014 to 2018, and the incidents involving Alfred Yoder happened in 2017.

Enos Yoder allegedly admitted to his crimes.
