Newtown-Harris Board of Education to create online lunch payment process

The Newtown-Harris R-3 Board of Education elected to begin the process for creating online lunch payment at its meeting Monday evening.

The feature will be presented to the board at the October meeting and parents will be notified when the process is complete and ready for use.

The board approved the yearbook organization to travel to Corydon and Centerville, Iowa as well as Unionville, Milan, and Trenton. The board also approved the district’s testing calendar.

Superintendent Doctor Kim Johnson discussed the beginning of the bidding process for an industrial kitchen refrigerator. The current refrigerator is more than 20 years old and needs freon applied.

She shared that the newly acquired school buses are running smoothly with no problems noted.
