Timothy Garrison confirmed as U. S. Attorney for the Western District of Missouri

The United States Senate has confirmed Timothy Garrison as the U. S. Attorney for the Western District of Missouri.

The Senate voted by unanimous consent Thursday to confirm Garrison’s nomination. He had served as the interim U. S. Attorney since his appointment by U. S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions January 3rd.

Garrison graduated from Drury University with a political science degree. He holds a Master of Public Administration degree and a law degree from the University of Missouri. He has served as a military prosecutor and a federal prosecutor with the U. S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Missouri.

As a federal prosecutor, Garrison worked on large-scale interstate and international drug trafficking organizations, violent criminals, firearms offenses, tax evasion, sex crimes, and illegal immigration.
