Meadville student pleads guilty to making terrorist threat

A Linn County teenager has pleaded guilty to making a terrorist threat against the Meadville School. The charge is a misdemeanor.

Seventeen-year-old Keith Donald Herring of rural Linneus Thursday in the Associate Division of Linn County Circuit Court.

Online court information shows, a plea agreement was accepted which led to the suspension of the imposition of a sentence. The court then placed the youth on two years of unsupervised probation.

The alleged threat occurred on February 16 and authorities have stated that Herring attends the Meadville school. It’s been reported that Herring allegedly advised others not to go to school on a particular day because there was going to be a shooting.
