The Livingston County Sheriff has released information on their latest investigations and arrests.

Officers began an investigation of forced entry into a locked trailer near U.S. 65 and Liv 228. Suspect(s) removed various tools and power tools and left the scene. Investigation continues.

Officers began an investigation near Liv 208 of person(s) driving through a farmer’s planted crops and causing damage to the plants. Investigation continues.

Officers began an investigation of someone stealing item(s) from an unattended vehicle in the river bottoms. The victim reported the theft of an expired credit card. Investigation continues.

Officers began an investigation of property damage and leaving the scene of an accident. Victims 5 strand fence was damaged as a driver apparently lost control on Liv 405 and ran through the fencing then fled the scene. Investigation continues.

Officers began an investigation of a mailbox being destroyed on Liv 418. Investigation continues.

 The office responded to a call of concern for a dog at a residence on Liv 261. Deputy spoke with the animal owner who showed the deputy her dog. The dog was found tangled up in the tie out, with no food or water and the dog was deceased. Further investigation has resulted in a summons for the 32-year-old resident to appear in Court on July 13 for alleged Animal Neglect or Abandonment 1st Offense.

Officers began an investigation into the theft of copper items from a location in Wheeling. Investigation continues.

Officers began an investigation of property damage to crops near Liv 214. Investigation continues.

The office began an investigation of property damage to a corn crop west of Chillicothe as an unknown person(s) drove through the field and damaged the crop. Investigation continues.

 

Arrests:

Kinsee Renee Cox, 20, was extradited from the Brookfield Police on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Probation Violation on an original felony conviction of drug offense. Bond was initially denied by the Court. Ms. Cox was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.

The department served a Livingston County arrest warrant on Austin Dale Leeper, 20, Trenton for alleged Probation Violation on a class C felony drug offense conviction. Mr. Leeper was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail in lieu of bond.

The department served 2 Livingston County arrest warrants on Misty Dawn Vaughn, 40, Chula for alleged Unlawful Use of Drug Paraphernalia charge and for the misdemeanor crime of Failing to Appear in Court. Ms. Vaughn was unable to post bond and transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.
