The Chillicothe Area Chamber of Commerce Holiday Parade Committee selected the 71st Annual Holiday Parade Grand Marshals.

The committee chose the areas first responders for the honor.

Committee member Chuck Erke says the local first responders deserve to be this year’s grand marshals due to their dedication and service to the community. He added that the Chillicothe Emergency Services Department, Chillicothe Police Department, Livingston County Sheriff’s Department, and LifeFlight Eagle are a critical part of the safety and security of residents.

The parade will begin the morning of November 18th at 10 o’clock and will include floats and entries from organizations, youth groups, churches, businesses, individuals, bands, and music groups.

The Chillicothe High School Marching Hornets; Chillicothe Middle School seventh and eighth-grade bands; official Kansas City Chiefs mascot KC Wolf, sponsored by Trenton Coca-Cola Bottling; official Kansas City Royals mascot Sluggerrr, sponsored by Pepsi-Cola Bottling; and other area mascots will also be included in the parade.

The deadline for parade entries is November 3rd.
