“Zombie Run” set for October 22 in Trenton

Coming up next month, on October 22nd, the undead will roam Trenton as part of the first ever CAPNCM “Zombie Run,” hosted by the Community Action Partnership of North Central Missouri.

The 5k race will begin at 7 pm near Eastside Park, and finish in the parking lot of the agency at 1506 Oklahoma Ave in Trenton.

Participants will receive items such as a t-shirt and bottled water.

Costumes and make-up are encouraged for zombie participants with the top three survivors each receiving a zombie run medal. Additional awards will be handed out for best costume and the three zombies who collect the most flags.

After the race, participants and supporters can refuel in the “Safe Zone” with snacks, drinks and shopping with various local vendors also available.

Registration is $30 per runner/zombie, with a small discount for sponsors.

Proceeds of the October 22nd race benefit community action partnership of north central Missouri and its poverty-fighting programs.
