The Young at Heart Resources offices in Cameron and Albany are closed to the public, but the staff is available by phone to provide assistance. Provide a Ride is on hold, but client reimbursed transportation can still be used. OATS and bus passes are still being issued to those that need them.

The ombudsman program continues to provide advocacy for long-term care facility residents, families, or residents by phone when needed. Ombudsman staff has also contacted several facilities to ask them what has been done for residents.

Young at Heart Resources Chief Executive Officer Michael Stopka says the agency continues to work with seniors centers in Northwest Missouri to ensure there are no disruptions in meal delivery to the most vulnerable older adults. Clients are encouraged to check with their local senior center to inquire about changes in operation.
