In October 2019, Wright Memorial Hospital and Hedrick Medical Center pledged $2500 to assist North Central Missouri College with the upgrade of the simulation lab in the Cross Allied Health Building. This project is expected to be completed by fall 2020 and will allow allied health faculty the opportunity to observe, assess, manage, track, and report on a student’s progress.

Jordan Ferguson, Marketing Director for Wright Memorial Hospital and Hedrick Medical Center was on campus recently to make the formal check presentation to the NCMC Foundation.

“The support of Wright Memorial Hospital and Hedrick Medical Center is vital to this project,” commented NCMC Director of Development Alicia Endicott. “Their desire to invest in NCMC students and the future of our allied health programs show their commitment to the area.”

“Both Wright Memorial Hospital and Hedrick Medical Center benefit greatly from North Central Missouri College’s allied health programs,” said Ferguson. “There is a nation-wide shortage of nurses, and so recruitment can oftentimes be difficult. Having expertly trained nurses who graduate from NCMC right in our own backyard is a tremendous asset to our hospitals and the communities we serve. We are grateful for NCMC, and honored to be a part of this upgrade.”
