Officials are reporting the death of a 61-year-old woman Saturday, June 4, in the women’s prison in Chillicothe.
Prison officials and medical personnel pronounced Loretta Young dead at 7:49 a.m. June 4 in the Chillicothe Correctional Center. She died of apparent natural causes.
Young was serving a 50-year sentence without parole for capital murder from St. Louis County. She entered the state prison system in August 1978.
