Light snow will begin to fall Saturday morning across northern Missouri as a weather system pushes into the area from the west.
Snowfall will likely stick early on grassy surfaces initially then begin over paved surfaces as the snowfall rate picks up in the late morning.
The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill has issued a Winter Weather Advisory which will go into effect at 1 am Saturday morning and extend to
4 pm Saturday afternoon.
Wet snow expected with total snow accumulations of up to three inches total is predicted in some areas of northern Missouri. Counties included in the Winter Weather Advisory include Adair, Atchison, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Mercer, Nodaway, Putnam, Schuyler, and Worth Counties.
Those in the advisory area should plan on slippery road conditions. Road conditions may be checked on the MoDOT website and are updated frequently.
