Winter Weather Advisory issued for northern Missouri counties until Wednesday, February 6th

Light freezing rain and drizzle will overspread the region Tuesday and continue through the morning hours on Wednesday. Although precipitation is expected to remain light in nature, ice accumulations of up to a tenth of an inch will be possible in the immediate Kansas City area, with slightly higher amounts possible across north-central and northeastern Missouri.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY WILL BE IN EFFECT FROM NOON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 5. TO NOON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 2019

Freezing rain is expected with total ice accumulations of up to two-tenths of an inch expected across portions of central, north central and northeast Missouri from noon Tuesday to noon Wednesday.  The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

Counties included in the advisory are:

Adair, Carroll, Chariton, Grundy, Linn, Livingston, Macon, Mercer, Putnam, Randolph, Saline, Schuyler, Sullivan, Andrew, Buchanan, Caldwell, Clay, Clinton, Daviess, De Kalb, Gentry, Harrison, Holt, Jackson, Lafayette, Nodaway, Platte, Ray, and Worth counties.
