Vehicle stop in Livingston County results in two arrests

A vehicle stop this week conducted by a deputy with the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office resulted in two arrests.

Sheriff Steve Cox reports 29-year-old Jonathan Hoskins of Iowa was arrested for alleged felony possession of a controlled substance.

Online court information shows he has been charged with possession of a controlled substance. Hoskins’s bond was set at $5,000 cash, and the case was continued to November 21st to set or waive a preliminary hearing. He was remanded to the Daviess DeKalb County Regional Jail.

Cox reports 28-year-old Fulisha Blanshan of Iowa was arrested for alleged driving while suspended or revoked and possession of a controlled substance. Blanshan was released from the sheriff’s office on a summons.

The deputy originally stopped the vehicle in Chillicothe for no vehicle registration, but investigation showed the driver was suspended. Further investigation led to the seizure of suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, prescription controlled substance, and marijuana.

Additional investigation continues into the alleged drug crimes.
