Downtown Trenton expects to have a new restaurant open sometime later this year.
Uprooted Kitchen and Catering recently announced via their Facebook page, the selection of Trenton as a more permanent location for their business. Uprooted Kitchen was one of several food truck vendors that offered lunches in downtown Trenton on Wednesdays last summer.
The new restaurant will be in a vacant building at five points at 1000 Tinsman Avenue. Remodeling of the building is planned to accommodate the restaurant with work to be done by Scott Weldon Construction of Trenton.
The Facebook page lists the owners as from Meadville. Quoting from a recent entry, Uprooted Kitchen and Catering’s food truck will still be a part of the business for years down the road. The owners plan to have the traveling portion of their business to be more focused on festivals and events during the summer months.
Thank you’s were extended to Micah Landes of the North Central Missouri Development Alliance and Megan Derry of Main Street Trenton and to Realtor Greg Freeman of Century 21 Team Elite at Trenton.
