Accident in western Sullivan County injures young Trenton woman

Two vehicles collided at the intersection of Route W and Route PP, six miles west of Milan in western Sullivan County, at 8:30 this (Thursday) morning, sending a 20-year old Trenton woman to Sullivan County Memorial Hospital in Milan, with injuries described as minor by the Highway Patrol.

The on-line report indicates that vehicles being driven by 16-year old Kenneth Eller of Harris and 20-year old Jaimee Groom of Trenton were traveling toward the Route W/ Route PP intersection, when Eller, driving a Chevrolet Silverado, was struck in the driver’s side of the vehicle while headed southbound.  Ms. Groom, driving a Toyota Camary, was traveling westbound into the intersection at the time of the accident.

Kenneth Eller, who was not wearing a seat belt, escaped injury, but his car was extensively damaged.  Jaimee Groom’s vehicle was totaled in the collision.  She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
