A second defendant has been arrested in connection with the alleged burglary early last year at Coon Manufacturing of Spickard.

36-year-old Jason Miles of Green Ridge, Missouri surrendered Saturday at the law enforcement center on felony charges of second degree burglary. He had been named in a Grundy County Grand Jury indictment last month.

Bond at the time of the indictment was set initially at 25 thousand dollars.

Through an attorney, Miles’ request for a reduction in bond was approved. Bond was lowered to ten thousand dollars with the defendant allowed to post ten percent, or one thousand dollars, in cash; which he has done.

The case involving Jason Miles has been scheduled for May 12th in Division One of the Grundy County Circuit Court.

Another defendant stemming from the Coon burglary investigation also was indicted by a grand jury last month. 38 year old Scott Virtue of Ridgeway is to appear April 14th in Division One of the Circuit Court at Trenton.

Kansas City resident, 25 year old Joshua Rosemann, has been arrested on a Grundy county warrant accusing him of alleged failure to obey a judge’s order.

Rosemann faced an original charge of criminal non support of a minor child in 2012.

He was arrested in Jackson County.

Bond is 15 thousand dollars cash. Probation has been suspended until further order of the court.

Roseman is to appear April 14th in Grundy County Circuit Court Division One.
