Two teenagers injured in crash south of Maryville

The highway patrol reports two teenagers received injuries Sunday afternoon in a rollover accident that occurred in Nodaway County one half of a mile south of Maryville.

The patrol listed injuries as minor for the driver, 17-year-old Jacob Yates of St. Joseph and passenger, 18-year-old Jerrod Naze of Grant City. Naze was treated and released from Mosiac Life Care of Maryville while Yates indicated he would seek his own medical treatment.

The vehicle was southbound when the driver lost control on gravel as it was attempting to negotiate a curve. The vehicle went off the south side of Ivory Road and overturned coming to rest on its top.

Damage to the vehicle was moderate and both occupants were using seat belts.
