Residents of Minnesota and Texas were hurt Saturday afternoon just north of Bethany when a minivan went off interstate 35 and overturned in the median.

The driver, 74-year old Mary Alva, of Burnsville, Minnesota received moderate injuries. The driver’s Granddaughter, 15-year old Rayne Hanson of McKinney, Texas, had minor injuries. Both were taken to Harrison County Community Hospital at Bethany.

The investigating officer reports the northbound minivan went off the left side of the road into the median, overturned, and came to rest on its wheels.

The vehicle was demolished.

Both persons were wearing seat belts.
