The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of two Trenton residents.

Twenty-seven-year-old William Edward Grimes the fourth was arrested Thursday on a felony charge of stealing—fourth or subsequent stealing offense within 10 years. His bond is $10,000 cash only.

Court documents accuse Grimes of acting in concert with one or more persons in appropriating a FitBit owned by Shopko without consent. Court documents also show he previously pleaded guilty or had been found guilty on three stealing-related offenses committed on three separate occasions.

Forty-one-year-old Brandy Knapp was arrested Friday on three misdemeanor counts of passing a bad check as well as failure to appear on two misdemeanor counts of violation of an order of protection for an adult. Her bonds total $2,000 cash only.  Court documents accuse Knapp of passing checks of $40.00, $45.00, and $50.00 drawn upon Go Bank payable to Amoco—Trenton BP knowing they would not be paid.

Grimes and Knapp are both scheduled for the Associate Division of circuit court April 24.
