The Highway Patrol reports two Kirksville residents sustained minor injuries when a sports utility vehicle ran off the road five miles east of Milan Thursday morning.

The driver, 40-year-old Didier Enswe and passenger 34-year-old Albertin Kamwezi, were transported by ambulance to the Sullivan County Memorial Hospital in Milan.

The SUV traveled west on Highway 6 when it reportedly crossed the center line, ran off the south side of the road, and struck an embankment, which caused the vehicle moderate damage.

The driver and passenger wore seat belts.
