Separate accidents on northbound Interstate 35 in Clinton County Thursday injured two drivers while two others were not hurt.

Fifty-two-year-old Gary Young of Cameron was in a MoDOT work truck in the process of repairing the passing lane of I-35 when it was struck in the rear by a pickup driven by 55-year-old William Eaton of Kidder.

Young received minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to the Cameron Regional Medical Center. Eaton wasn’t hurt in Thursday afternoons’ accident four miles south of Cameron.

Both drivers wore a seat belt and Eaton’s pickup was demolished while the MoDOT dump truck received extensive damage.

Another rear-end accident occurred Thursday night four miles north of Lathrop.

Thirty-seven-year-old Jessica Motley of Bolivar received moderate injuries when the sports utility vehicle she was driving hit the rear of another SUV in front of her.

Motley was taken by ambulance to Mosiac Life Care in St. Joseph. The driver of the other vehicle, 32-year-old Megan Curtis of Winston, was not hurt.

Curtis was using a seat belt while Motley was not. Vehicle damage ranged from minor to moderate.
