Two Cameron teens charged with theft of firearms

Cameron Police report two teenagers from Cameron have been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged theft of firearms stolen from a motor vehicle.

Police officers and detectives at Cameron responded to the scene Tuesday on Cornhill Street, contacted possible suspects and recovered the stolen weapons.

Facing a felony charge of stealing a firearm are Michael Prang and Carolyn Reeds, both 18 years old, and from Cameron. Police report bond for Prang is $25,000 as he also was arrested on a felony warrant from Kansas for larceny in that state.  Ms. Reed has a bond of $10,000. Both are held in the Clinton County jail pending court appearances.

Cameron police said a minor taken into custody in connection with the theft has been turned over to juvenile authorities.
