The Missouri State Highway Patrol is reporting the deaths of two Bethany women in an accident near Stewartsville.
Wanda Findley, 81 and Peggy Rhinehart, 86 were both pronounced dead at the scene by the DeKalb County Deputy Coroner after the 8:10 am accident on Saturday.
The accident on Highway 36 and Sharp Road at Stewartsville, occurred when a 2015 Volvo tractor trailer rear ended the vehicle occupied by the women, causing their 2010 Chevy Impala to come to rest in the median.
Both bodies were transported to Bram Funeral Home
The highway patrol was assisted by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s department, and the Stewartsville Fire Department.
Daljit Singh, the 25-year-old driver of the tractor trailer truck from Stockton, California was not reported hurt. The occupants of all vehicles were wearing safety devices.
