The Trenton City Council’s Finance Committee is recommending the city purchase two mowers from the Trenton Park Department at a total cost of $10,000 to be used by the city at the airport.

During the November 28 council meeting, Park Superintendent Jason Shuler said the park department wants to rotate out mowers after three to five years to prevent problems with the mowers when the department mows over 100 acres a week.

Although the finance committee recommended the city purchase the mowers, the topic is not on the agenda for action tonight. The finance committee also heard a presentation regarding health insurance coverage through Missouri Intergovernmental Risk Management Association.  A representative of the association is to be at tonight’s city council meeting for further discussion.
