A Trenton resident, facing three felony counts, has waived a preliminary hearing in the Associate Division of Grundy County Circuit Court.

The cases involving Christy Lynn Russell have been bound over to the January 16th docket in Division One of the Grundy County Circuit Court. She faces charges stemming from November incidents allegedly involving second-degree burglary, stealing of a motor vehicle, and stealing property valued at $750 or more.

A probation violation hearing was held in the associate circuit court for Chillicothe resident Bailey Souders. Upon admitting to a violation, probation was revoked and Associate Judge Steve Hudson ordered her to serve four months in the Grundy County Detention Center. Her original charge from 2018 was passing a bad check.

Trenton resident Heather Marie Baker pleaded guilty to an amended charge of passing bad checks. She was fined $200 fine; ordered to donate $50 to the law enforcement restitution fund; pay $577 in restitution; plus the court costs. A second count was dismissed. All of the money is to be taken from the posted bond of $1,500 with the balance refunded to Heather Baker.
