Trenton Utility Committee to recommend construction of storage building at wastewater plant

Trenton’s Utility Committee will recommend a construction bid be accepted for a storage building at the wastewater treatment plant.

According to Utility Director Ron Urton, the bid from Jamesport Builders came in at $60,074 for a 40-foot by 60-foot building with an optional second door of 14 by 14 feet. The bid will be referred to the Trenton City Council for review and discussion at a future meeting.

Also at the committee meeting Thursday evening, TMU department heads presented reports and the monthly TMU financial information was reviewed.

Attending were the three committee members: Larry Crawford, Dave Mlika, and Cathie Smith. Also present were TMU department heads, comptroller, the city clerk, city administrator, and the Mayor.
