Trenton teen life-flighted after crash in Pettis County

A Trenton teen was injured this morning in an accident in Pettis County.

The highway patrol listed injuries as serious for 19-year-old Jose Barron IV from Trenton when the car he was driving traveled off Highway 65 in Pettis County about 8:20 this morning.

Barron was flown by medical helicopter to the University Hospital in Columbia.

The patrol reports Barron was southbound when the car ran off the left side of Highway 65, struck a ditch, and overturned – throwing him through the rear window of the vehicle.

The car received extensive damage the report indicates Barron was not using a seat belt.

The Pettis County Sheriff’s office assisted the highway patrol at the scene of the accident north of Deer Park road.
