A Trenton teenager was injured in a traffic accident this morning at the Thompson River bridge, one mile to the west of Trenton.
Sixteen-year-old Alexis Palmer was transported by private vehicle to Wright Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
Palmer was eastbound on Highway 6 when an express van had slowed down due to a crash in the roadway. A trooper reported the front of the vehicle struck the rear of the express van from Kansas. The driver, 29-year-old Anthony Ciambrone of Baldwin City, Kansas was not reported hurt.
Damage in the 7:35 morning accident was moderate to the SUV and minor for the express van. Both drivers were using seatbelts.
