The Trenton Tax Increment Financing Commission will hold a public hearing next week regarding the Orscheln Farm and Home Tax Increment Financing Plan. The hearing will be part of the commission’s meeting in the City Hall Council Chambers Monday evening at 6 o’clock.

The plan involves a redevelopment project in the area of Highway 65 to Meadowlark Lane and Eastview Drive to East 28th Street in Trenton. It calls for the construction of an Orscheln Farm and Home Store of 37,026 square feet. The total estimated cost of the redevelopment project is $5,178,651, of which about $1,000,000 constitutes reimbursable project costs from TIF revenue.

The agenda for the TIF Commission’s Monday meeting also includes a resolution recommending the Orscheln Farm and Home Tax Increment Financing Plan and an election of officers.

The public will not physically be allowed at the meeting, but the public can watch the meeting on the Zoom at THIS LINK. Information on how to participate in the meeting is to be available on the City of Trenton website.
