The Trenton R-9 School District is partnering with Catapult Learning again this year for Summer School.

The program is called Summer Journey and is planned May 22nd through June 22nd for students entering kindergarten through ninth grades. The curriculum involves math, reading, communication arts, science, social studies, and exploratory classes.

Summer School Administrator E’Lisha Gass says the district hopes to provide breakfast, lunch, and transportation free of charge although she is still awaiting approval for those programs.

Application information for the Summer School is to be sent home with eligible students April 9, 2018. School officials ask all students to return the form whether they plan to attend or not. For those not attending, the student’s name and the word “NO” should be written on the application form. The form should be returned to any Trenton R-9 school office.

Students returning an enrollment form indicating they will attend Summer School will receive a Summer journey backpack. Gass said supplies are limited so forms should be returned early. Enrollment information and the application form also are available on the Trenton R-9 website.

Summer School Administrator E’Lisha Gass may be reached at Trenton High School by calling 660-359-2291.
