The Trenton R-9 Board of Education accepted a resignation and made several hires in an executive session Tuesday evening.
The board accepted the resignation of eighth through 10th-grade counselor Brooklyn Stevens and the board hired Marissa Cowan as a sixth-grade math teacher. Connor Cotton and Shantel Cooper were employed as substitutes.
The board hired summer school staff, which includes E’Lisha Gass, principal; Sabra Ferguson, secretary; and Margaret Mollenhour and Amber Sprague, paras.
Summer school teachers will be Wendy Shuler, Cara Leininger, Debra Young, Adrianne Todd, Kelsey Donohue, Emily Voorhies, Jenny Otto, Anna Muselman, Nancy Link, Tammy Ockenfels, Mary Woodson, Karla Lowrey, Jackie Price, Kelli Griffith, Darcie Taylor, Lauren Boswell, Traci Hurley, and Mary Kate Stewart.
The board also hired Hannah Ewbank and Amber Sprague as Rissler Elementary School yearbook sponsors.
