The Trenton Post Office reports it collected about 4,400 pounds of non-perishable items during the National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive Saturday.

A spokesperson says the items the Trenton Post Office collected were from the Trenton, Jamesport, and Gilman City area. The food was to be donated to the Community Food Pantry of Grundy County of Trenton.

The Second Harvest Community Food Bank of Saint Joseph sponsored the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.
