Trenton Police Department reports nuisance violations up almost 50%

The Trenton Police Department has filed 245 nuisance violations so far this year.

The police department’s Nuisance Enforcement Report shows this is a 49.39% increase for the year to date.

Police Chief Tommy Wright reports the greatest number of violations were for trash and debris with 70 related to grass and 137 weed related violations. He says 53 violations received citations or summons or were referred to court and 158 were abated. Thirty-four are pending re-inspection or are in progress.

The Nuisance Enforcement Report shows there were 173 total violations for 2016.
