Trenton Police Department reminds residents of public nuisance concerning grass

Spring has sprung and the Trenton Police Department is reminding residents that it’s grass cutting season.

The department reminds all Trenton residents that there is a city ordinance that indicates grass over 8 inches tall is in violation.

Below is an excerpt from the ordinance: 220.020, Section A

Any lot or land shall be a public nuisance if it has the presence of debris of any kind including, but not limited to, weed cuttings, cut and fallen trees and shrubs, overgrown vegetation and noxious weeds which are eight (8) inches or more in height,… 

Trenton Police Department officers will be monitoring for grass in excess of 8 inches, so they are asking to please keep your yard mowed.
