The Trenton Park Board approved a raise in wages for part-time employees at its meeting Wednesday evening.

Returning part-time employees will receive a 25 cent raise effective as of the pay period beginning June 5th.

The board also approved splitting costs of softball and baseball tournaments with the Green Hills Recreation Association.

The board will pay 50% of the $950 for the tournaments, which will be later this month.

Colors for siding on the Moberly Shelter House were also chosen as the siding was in the budget.

Park Superintendent Jason Shuler reported that work on the Trenton Family Aquatic Center’s sound system cost about $1,500 dollars. The fan in the women’s locker room needs to be replaced.

He said he believed there was about of 150 to 180 persons in attendance at the pool most days since it opened.

Camps have bused in children on various days.

Shuler and Park Board President Duane Helmandollar reported that most of the trees in the nursery are healthy and growing well.

Shuler announced that bids were out for swings, fencing, and a drinking water fountain.

He said he needed to put out a bid for the metal as well and the bids will be opened at the Park Board’s July meeting.

Shuler also announced that the Chillicothe Mudcats will play at Burleigh Grimes Field Monday night at 7 o’clock.
