The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Trenton man Wednesday on two misdemeanor counts of sexual abuse—second degree and one count of attempted sexual abuse—second degree.
The bond for 39-year-old Robert Eugene Ewing is $10,000 cash only, and he is scheduled for the Associate Division of Circuit Court January 28th.
Court documents accuse Ewing of having sexual contact with a confidential victim twice by touching the person’s genital area outside the clothing without the person’s consent for the purpose of arousing or gratifying his sexual desire.
Ewing is also accused of subjecting a confidential victim to sexual contact through the clothing by pulling the person’s hands towards his genital area without the person’s consent for the purpose of arousing or gratifying his sexual desire, and such conduct was considered to be a substantial step of committing such sexual abuse.
