Trenton man arrested on resisting and assault charges

A Trenton resident, 25 year old Brandon Young, faces two misdemeanor counts stemming from a Trenton police officers’ attempt to take him into custody on Monday.

Young is charged with resisting a lawful detention and assault in the third degree on a law enforcement officer.

The warrant says Young is accused of spitting on police Sergeant Jeb Walker while Walker was attempting to secure the defendant for  civil detoxification. Bond for Brandon Young is 25-hundred dollars cash.

Young is to appear next Tuesday May 24th in the associate division of Grundy County circuit court.
