Trenton High School junior, Mariah Fox, wins public speaking contest

Trenton High School junior Mariah Fox of rural Laredo won first place Wednesday, March 30,  at the Missouri Institute of Cooperatives FFA public speaking state contest held in Columbia.

Her speech was entitled “cooperative enterprises build a better world.”

 Miss Fox receives a plaque and cash prize for herself as well as a cash prize for her chapter, the Trenton FFA, from the Missouri Institute of Cooperatives which sponsored the speech contest.

She also won an expenses-paid trip to a cooperative leadership institute.
