Trenton Fire Department responds to vehicle fires

Trenton Firemen responded to motor vehicle fires Monday, April 25 and Tuesday, April 26.

Firefighters were dispatched at 12:37 pm Monday to a car on fire in the parking lot near Hy-Vee. Fire was contained to the engine compartment, and quickly knocked out.

The car, a 2014 Pontiac Grand Prix, is owned by Kim Miller of Princeton sustained extensive to the engine compartment.

The fire department was assisted by Grundy County Ambulance and Trenton Police.

The Trenton Fire Department was dispatched at 5:21 this morning to a car fire on U-S 65 just south of Trenton.

Fire was contained to the engine compartment. The car, a 1997 Pontiac Sunfire, is owned by Justice Matthes of Trenton.

Fire damage to the engine compartment was extensive. The department was assisted by Trenton Police and Grundy County Sheriffs Department.
