The Trenton Finance Committee voted on Wednesday morning to make changes to the city budget.

City Administrator Ron Urton reports the committee voted to raise the fire department minimum pay to a $12.50 per hour base.  The committee also voted to give a 75 cent per hour raise for all employees and implement a step increment system based on employee qualifications.

Urton says the Finance Committee will review changes to the budget at the Trenton City Hall on the morning of March 20th at 9 o’clock before voting to recommend sending the final budget to the city council.

The committee is scheduled to present to the council on March 23rd.
