As many as 18 residential locations are on the agenda for the next meeting of the Trenton Building and Nuisance Board.

Members will meet Monday evening at 6 o’clock, prior to the 7 o’clock meeting of the Trenton City Council at the City Hall.

The building board agenda shows eight locations for declarations of a nuisance.

Nine addresses are listed for public hearings. One address, 1913 Lulu, has advanced to findings of fact.  Information is to be presented on the housing demolition projects as well as any updates to current structures of concern and other nuisances.

The City Council agenda includes one ordinance and seven topics for discussion.

The proposed ordinance involves professional engineering services by the Burns and McDonnell Corporation regarding construction on the 17th Street and Harris Avenue water line projects. The 17th street water line work is between Harris Avenue and Madison Street. The Harris Avenue water line work is between 18th Street and 26th Street. The ordinance authorizes the Mayor and city clerk to sign the agreement.

Burns and McDonnell propose to charge $54, 200 dollars for their services.

The council is expected to review a bid for water tower painting. The mayor is to lead a discussion regarding boats at the city reservoir, and there is to be discussion on possibly closing access at night to the reservoir.

Other topics include fund-raisers being allowed on streets with traffic signal lights; department heads attending council meetings; and repairs to the street departments’ 1995 New Holland tractor with mower.

After Monday nights’ public meeting concludes, a closed executive session is planned on real estate.
