The Chillicothe Fire Department yesterday responded to a semi truck on fire in the parking lot of the Chillicothe R-2 school district, on old Highway 36 West.
The report indicates the 1999 Peterbilt semi was fully involved when firefighters arrived on the scene during the noon hour Monday. Approximately 200 gallons of water was used to extinguish the fire.
The semi tractor was described as a complete loss with Fire Chief Darrell Wright indicating the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Chillicothe Police Department with the assistance of the Missouri state Fire Marshal’s office.
The owner of the truck was listed as Finch Trucking LLC of Brookfield with the driver was listed as Jamie Stoner.
